CASE1:A Colorado Retailer's First BBQ Pod Order
The owner of a small outdoor gear shop in Colorado had been looking for something to fill out the store's grill section. He came across the BBQ Pod on a sourcing trip, ordered a sample to the store, and decided to bring in a full batch. Eight units to a container kept the freight reasonable, so the math worked.
When the pallet arrived, three of them and a forklift got it off the truck bed and around to the back lot. Unboxing, wheeling it into position, plugging it into the outdoor outlet — the whole thing took under twenty minutes. Setup was a button press. They'd cleared the morning for it and didn't need to.
The Pod went into the store's outdoor display area. Having it set up where customers could walk up to it and step inside made a difference — the owner said the physical presence of the unit did more than the product photos ever could. It gave people something to react to in person, which matters when you're asking someone to buy a structure sight unseen.
The first batch sold through. He reordered two months later.
