CASE2:A Georgia Campground Adds a BBQ Pod

2026-07-21
Case Detail

The owner of a small RV campground in northern Georgia found the BBQ Pod through a trade show catalog. He wasn't looking for a grill shelter specifically — he was looking for something that would extend his guests' outdoor season. The campground had fire pits at every site, but they sat mostly empty from November through February. Wind off the ridge and the cold kept people in their RVs.

He ordered one unit to test in the common area next to the camp store.

The campground sits on a slight slope, so he was prepared for setup to be a headache. Turned out manageable. Forklift got the pallet off the truck. Two staff unboxed it, wheeled it into position — the unit's own casters handled that part — then spent a few minutes adjusting the leveling feet by hand to account for the grade. Once it was sitting right, they plugged it into the camp store's outdoor outlet and hit the power button. The electric deployment did the rest. Whole process from pallet to fully up took under half an hour, and most of that was the manual foot adjustment, not the assembly.

That was one season ago. Guests use it daily. Summer it's shade, fall and winter it's a windbreak with the fire pit going inside. The owner said the only thing he's done to it since setup is hose bird droppings off the roof every now and then. The campground has since recommended it to two other campgrounds in the region.
